A is for Apple
Or if your Brad, A is for Apple Crisp!
A great friend- Jayme- shared this EASY Apple Crisp recipe with me a few years ago. I just got around to putting it together and it was amazing.
7 to 8 sliced apples
1/4 cup water
1 teaspoon cinnamon
1/2 teaspoon salt
1 cup sugar
3/4 cup flour
1/3 cup butter
Place peeled, cut up apples in a 9x13x2" baking dish (greased).
Spring with water, cinnamon and salt.
Work together sugar, flour and the melted butter in a bowl until mixture becomes crumbly.
Spread mixture over the apples (Jayme doubles it and I did too- which was the right decision!)
Bake uncovered at 350 degrees for about 40 minutes or until the top turns golden brown. Serve warm with ice cream or whip cream.
Delicious! In all seriousness, what is the best way to slice an apple? Sounds like a silly question, but the core really gets in the way of things. Any suggestions?
And on Saturday Brad and I went out on a little date, while Lillie got in some Mimi time. I'd like to think we were celebrating the beginning of the third trimester- we are 29 weeks today!
And here is a little peek at what peanut #2 is up to these days!

Now you got me wanting to make that apple crisp again! As far as slicing the apples, I use an apple slicer/coring tool that cuts the core out while slicing the apple in wedges. Works most of the time but I still get pieces of the core sometimes.
Yum, that looks de-lish!! -- And look at you, hot mama!! Happy 3rd trimester:o)
