life... lately...
Our lives have been overflowing this spring. We have wrapped up a few major chapters and are getting ready to open a few new ones. Brad and I honestly feel blessed beyond measure- the Lord has orchestrated the timing and clearly provided in ways only He could. It has been nothing short of amazing to watch unfold.
Easter. We spent our Easter celebrating the Lord, negotiating our house sale and enjoying steaks and outdoor seating at Mimi's! We were blessed with beautiful weather and fun family times.
Lillie is an egg hunting professional. As the smallest egg hunter in her class, she was the most nimble and skilled. While the other kids picked-up, opened and returned plastic eggs to their teachers, Lillie was busy filling her basket. You see, Lillie has been training for the big event with Mimi. And their hard work paid off!
Over Easter, we also celebrated Kelsey's 28th birthday and mom made a fun bunny cake! Happy birthday Kelsey!!
139 Windsor sold. After many rounds, the negotiations stopped and we sold 139 Windsor! As things have finally settled in, I find myself sad to leave our first home. We have so many sweet memories in that home- so many firsts and so many discoveries.
Moving. On Wednesday we decided that we needed to move on Saturday. Literally. We were suppose to be heading to Baltimore on Friday evening to celebrate Brad's 10 year high school reunion with the Palm Tree and the rest of Loyola. Then reality set-in and we decided the weekend needed to be used to move. We rounded up boxes and began to sort- apartment, storage, trash.
Funny, when we moved into our home I remember agreeing that we would NEVER move ourselves again. Well, on Saturday morning we had 6 friends lifting boxes and furniture into a 24 foot Enterprise Rent a Truck.
Our last stops were Sunday (with 4 other friends) afternoon to unload storage items at K&K's and Mimi's. Thanks for all the storage room, the muscles and childcare. We couldn't have pulled this move off without the love and support of our friends and family.
Graduation. Brad did it- he officially has his Masters in Business Administration!! I'm a very very proud wife. Brad started this chapter of his life with a one month old baby girl, an exhausted wife and a journalism degree. Most of his classmates couldn't relate to the reasons he was running late to study groups or why the blue cup event wasn't his top priority. But he did it! I know he learned a ton and I hope he had some fun along the way!
We celebrated his hard work and perseverance with a family fun filled weekend of festivities- mostly revolving around eating. The Sheriff and Grannie Annie flew in from TX, Gram came up from ATL and Kelly, John & Harper came from Grenville. The Raleigh crew came over to celebrate too!
Mother's Day & 34 weeks. It was so fun to share mother's day with all our family (because Brad graduated on Sunday!). Yes, having Brad graduate was a WONDERFUL mother's day gift, but the greatest gift I received this mother's day was a heart felt toast that Brad delivered at dinner in front of our families. It made me feel like I was 23 and he was giving his rehearsal dinner toast at The Weathervane- and then right about the time that feeling came over me he was saying...
"Megan, August 12, 2006 was the best day of my life. It’s the day we became a family and vowed that we would be together forever. Well it’s true, we will be together forever, and it’s only going to get better…"
What a precious gift I will treasure forever.
Mother's Day also marked the 34th week of my second pregnancy- the gift of life is so precious. And Lillie brought grew me this at school!
Our new home. We are still unpacking, Lillie proofing and getting settled- but we have everything we need in our new little home and have really enjoyed the coziness. More to come...

Wow Megs! So much change. And you seem to handle it so gracefully.
Now stop making me cry in the middle of the day. What a lovely and precious family you have! Miss you!!
