At six days old...

the family was thankful for Mimi and feet!

Although our apartment doesn't really allow space for any overnight guests, Mimi came over every day for a week to help out.  It was a blessing to have someone in the house who hadn't been up all night and could do laundry, snuggle a little one and wrangle a toddler.  My mom is so patient with her grand-babies, but she is even more patient with me.  I find that I always really appreciate her loving advice, a swift kick in the butt that she can offer and her ability to patiently watch me find my way.  She is a wonderful mom.

Mimi love.

We brought Mary Hardin home to a house full of sick people!  What a great start to life!  Lillie caught a cold a daycare the day I went into labor.  Her little immune system did a great job fighting it off, but she had a runny nose and gooky eyes for the first 10 days of Mary Hardin's life (then Brad picked up the cold and next Mary Hardin caught it!!).  Naturally I did my best to keep her away from Mary Hardin's face.  So, we talked a lot about Mary Hardin's little feet.  Look close, Lillie is kissing Mary Hardin's feet!

It must be exhausting to be a newborn baby!
