home,
renovations
We did it. We moved. Hopefully we are settled for a while. A good long while.
With the help of lots of dear friends and family we are all in one place. Thank goodness. Relief.
Lillie was a little anxious about the transition (I was too) - and she spent a few nights waking up screaming for us. It was ok, because I was already awake. But, that seems to subside a little more as times goes by. Leaving her door open with the bathroom light on has also done wonders. Mary Hardin is as happy as a clam.
One neighbor brought us cookies, across the street we met a family from Baltimore (White Marsh actually). The husband attended Calvert Hall, and then there was the Welcome committee representative who brought bread, the directory and answered any questions. It has been a sweet beginning.
On Saturday we enjoyed our first picnic at the little pond across the street - Lillie calls it the lake. How big things are when we are little.
We have done some work already - taken down a wall, added some hardwoods in a few spots, renovated a bathroom and painted 3 rooms. Well we haven't actually done all the work with our own hands.
I cannot thank family - Barbara and Kelly especially - enough for getting my little ladies rooms all painted and ready for their sweet little bodies to rest easy in. Walls, trim, closets - all done with love. It is amazing what a coat of paint will do.
There are still many, many, many boxes to unpack and walls to paint for that matter. We cannot get our cars in the garage yet. Oh and then there is our new commute. We are all still trying to adjust to that - hopefully it will be over before we know it.
But, here is a glimpse of the house before we moved in. Hopefully these walls will hold many happy memories for our family.

Love it already, can't wait to see all your 'pinterest' skills come to life. :)
