Wood
Happy fifth anniversary baby! We have been through a ton in the past five years - we have grown, laughed, cried, struggled, prospered, changed, given life, seen life taken away, wondered, trusted, smiled, loved, hoped, been crushed, encouraged, doubted, trusted some more, longed, taken risks, sold, bought, bathed, diapered, feed, cooked, cleaned, and cared for, and always have come back to love some more.
I'm thankful for a loyal, caring, loving, adventurous husband who hasn't ever settled for the easy road - but understands the risks in taking the one less traveled. I'm thankful for a husband who refuses to act his age - even though his life resembles something/someone of twice his age.
I'm thankful to share this journey with a man that I love. And I'm thankful that five years ago I laughed and smiled my way through vows that will last a lifetime.
Along the way we've had a lot of support from our families and these folks (I don't think either of these got published in the wedding album)...
Murph, you always have had a nice *ss.
Tara, is that your serious face?
Love you sweet friends.
Five years, two sweet girls later this is the best we have done for a family photo - taken the day we came home from the hospital with Mary Hardin. Lillie is meeting her sister for the first time!
The traditional fifth year anniversary gift is wood - interesting. I guess I've got to go grab a stick before Brad comes home :).

Happy anniversary!!!
