Mary Hardin is 4 months old

These photos are Mary Hardin on October 20th - she is 4 months old.

Weight: 13 lbs 7 ounces (50 percentile)
Height: 25.25 inches (75 percentile)
Head: 41 cm (50 percentile)

She is a happy baby - and smiles like crazy.  Her laugh is infectious.

This month of life has been bumpy.  We switched from Neocate to Soy formula - only to experience some unexplained rashes and constipation.  After a few weeks - some major crying - and some weight loss we have now switched to Alimentum and faster flow nipples.  

It seems to be working but I'm always nervous to claim success in the feeding department.  Neither one of my girls are good eaters.

We have also had our first cold, and a little throw-up bug. 

Eczema + cradle cap on her head and face have also marked this last month of life with itching and flaking.  Yet, Mary Hardin really seems to take it in stride.  Truly I think it bothers me more than her.

Mary Hardin is doing lots of rolling over and she really wants to be sitting up.  She is still sleeping swaddled and eats 6+ times a day (between 3 and 5 ounces each feeding).

Sleeping.  Oh, sleeping is a funny thing for our little daycare babies.  Generally they don't like to do it!  At school the infants are not put on any type of schedule - they just sleep when they want to - or when they are tired enough to fall asleep in a bright room full of other crying babies!  So, as you can imagine, Mary Hardin rarely sleeps for any length of time.  I've grown thankful for this because it allows me time with her... even if it is late at night!

A typical day at 4 months old..
6am: bottle + get dressed with mommy
7:15am: out the door to school and a little snooze in the car
play, eat (9,12,3), sleep at school
7pm: bottle
10:00pm: sleep in the swing
11pm: bottle
12pm: night night in crib in mommy and daddy's bedroom
sometimes 4am: bottle

Mary Hardin is two inches longer and a full pound heavier than Lillie was at the same age!  No wonder Lillie's clothes are a little (a lot) snug.
