Pepperplate. It is awesome. You are going to want it.
Pepperplate. Plan - Cook - Share.
Finally some help in the kitchen.
A sweet ipad loving co-worker introduced me to this awesome cloud based software/App, which has GREATLY simplified my grocery list, shopping, and cooking routine. It probably even saves me a little money because I just buy what I need. Great idea, right?
Here is the quick skinny. But definitely check it out for yourself.
1. Create a free account online.
2. Import recipes you love - manually or with just the click of a button. (Pinterest like.)
3. Plan your recipes for a specific night.
4. Then it auto creates and organizes your grocery list for whatever time period you request.
5. I then cook from the recipe on the ipad.
I still have some major work to do in the "import recipe" zone, but once I have all my old faithfuls in the system, I will just be able to click a button for the 5 recipes I need for that week and get a grocery list. It is that easy. You can also add additional, non-recipe groceries, like toothpaste to the list.
Theoretically, Brad could access this on his phone on his way home from work and get everything we need without asking for a grocery list. Wink, wink.
Try it. If you try to cook and pretend to be organized like me, you will like it.
