Highway 55

Did I ever mention how a few weeks after Mary Hardin was born I strapped Lillie and Mary Hardin into their car seats and drove to the next town over to get some Starbucks?

Mary Hardin 12 days old.
The town I live in doesn't allow drive thrus - bad for the environment, you know those icky idling cars.

So I was desperate for caffine and desperate not to get out of the car for many reasons (my ab muscles were torn in two, I couldn't lift an infant carrier with a 2 week old baby, my two year old may run away... plus, the thought of everyone sitting still for 1 hour in the car was rather nice).

So that is just what I did.  Packed everyone up and drove to the closest drive-thru Starbucks, 25 minutes away.  Brad pointed out that I basically spent $10 on a coffee.  I say it was worth every penny.

Fast forward.  Over the weekend, Lillie declared to Brad that she "no longer wanted water in her coffee cup, she wanted coffee."  Eek.

I'm not really sure what to do about that... but, I'm afraid I've created an addict.
