Big girl chair

A dear friend, Chrissy, gave us this sweet little adirondack chair. It was weathered and aged when she left it on our driveway a few weeks ago. Her son had been of the size that would have fit comfortably in this chair not long ago- I thought to myself when I saw it.
Well, this weekend, I had dinner with Jack and Chrissy. Jackson starts middle school tomorrow. And I thought to myself, how do little ones get so big so quickly.
I promptly came home- repainted the chair- and resolved to soak-up every moment that Lillie would still fit.
Yes Lillie, I agree. Lets stop time... right here. Fourteen months is a perfect age full of discovery, excitement and love. Lillie give kisses and highfives freely and often. She gets excited about washing her hands and putting on her shoes. Lillie's six baby teeth poke through her smile as a sweet little reminder that she isn't a baby any more. She is practicing her words: dada, dog, duck, this, banana and sometimes even mama. Lillie runs to you, more than she runs away from you and she desires nothing more than to be involved in everything Brad and I are doing. It is hard to put into words the intense love I feel from her, much less the love I feel for her.
The only thing I regret is that sometime over the past month fear has crept into her life. It first showed-up when Brad tossed her into the the air. She grabbed his hands, as to not be thrown too high.
Why is it that we know fear at such a young age?
I'm sorry baby girl, you have nothing to fear. The Lord will care for you all of your days.

Love. Her. Bubble. --- I'm on board with stopping time. Let me know if you figure it out!
