Gram's visit
A few weeks ago Gram had a nice long visit with us!
She and a few other friends actually swooped in to save the day or weeks as it turns out. The story goes like this. In the land of daycare, there is this unwritten rule... "All daycare workers get to take off the week of fourth of July." Thus, daycare is closed for a week. YIKES. This put us slightly up a creek. We pieced it together for the week with the help of some wonderful friends- thank you Callie- and a visit to my office! Whew.
The next week we took Lillie to daycare on Monday morning- only to get the call at 10 am that Lillie had a fever of 103. After four trips to the doctor in one week we worked it out that Lillie had 2 ear infections, a raging rash and fever, an allergic reaction to Penicillin and finally a Zpack to bring us back to reality. We had Mimi taking off work, Amanda jumping in to help out and Gram driving in from ATL to watch Lillie (all to cover the second week in a row out of daycare!).
Regardless, Gram had a wonderful visit and really got a chance to spend some QT with the Bear feeling better over the weekend.
I'm happy to report that Zpacks work much more efficiently than Penicillin!
And we got to try out our favorite summer birthday toys!
And then there was this incident. Whenever Brad has free time on his hands, it makes me nervous. Why don't you guess what he was doing? Any ideas? Other than trying to start a forest fire.
