Second leg of our journey- Arkansas
After much debate, we woke up Sunday morning and hit the road at 6 am. Mapquest said it should take us 12 hours- however, I was doubtful that that took into account the one year old sitting next to me smiling.
I guess it didn't really matter- we made it. Lillie treated the day like any other. She was happy as could be as long as we gave her all of our attention. We ate meals in the car, read books, looked out the window, talked, sang- you name it, we did it. I would even go so far as to say some parts of it were enjoyable. And believe it our not, Lillie only slept about 3 hours of the 13 hour trip!
All that car riding to make it to Heber Springs, Arkansas. The home of nothing. Well, nothing except two wonderful people we were excited to see- Sheriff and Grannie Annie!
We did a lot of eating and a lot of relaxing, a little exercising, some boating, some swimming and some shopping.
It was a wonderful week!
And on Friday we were off to Nashville!
Looks like Arkansas treated you well! Love the pics from the trip. Thanks for the goodies you left behind for us. We enjoyed the magazines and love the birthday picture of Lillie. Next time we all need to go together!
So Lillie has gotten so big!! Seriously, I need to see this cutie soon! It's been way too long.
