Third leg: Nashville

Back in the car on Friday morning headed to Nashville(8 hours) to visit some dear friends, see the sights and save ourselves from a 15 hours in the car straight!

Our friends were kind enough to open their home to us for the weekend.  These are two of the most generous people... we arrive on Friday afternoon.  Michelle- 8 months pregnant with a two year old in tow was bringing in groceries.  Scott just had to run out to pick-up a roommate whose car battery died.  Yup, you read that right.  Not only were we staying for the weekend- but actually two roommates have been living with them for the past 8 months or so!  And Michelle (remember 8 months pregnant chasing a two year old) cooked dinner for all 8 of us.  That is true hospitality.

And we had a wonderful weekend.  Saw what there was to see of Nashville & Vanderbilt, but really enjoyed spending down time with friends in historic Franklin.  Sweet CeCe's when are you opening a location near me?

 And on Sunday morning, we hopped back in the car for the final drive home!

Family vacation numero uno... We made it.  Had fun with friends. Put on a bathing suit.  And grew closer together as a family.  What more can you ask for from a vacation?
