Dish duty.

Brad always likes to talk about getting Lillie little tiny gloves and teaching her how to pick up pin cones in the yard and put them in the bucket.  In fact we even tried some yard work gloves on at Whole Foods last week- but they were for an eight year old!  From his perspective she isn't to young to be doing a little something around here!  HA!  Hilarious.  I think he wants Lillie to pick up his slack.

Well, he got her on dish duty- since it is a bit cold for outdoor labor.  Here is Lillie at 15 months helping to put away the dishes.

This also brings up the interesting discussion of chores, which we have talked about a fair amount as a family.  Brad grew up one way, I grew up another.  Turns out we both have a pretty strong work ethic, value family and all the things we were given.  So does it really matter that much what chores Lillie is responsible for and if she gets an allowance?  I want her to live a carefree childhood, but grow up to be a responsible adult.  How do those things work together in harmony?  I'm seeing how this parenting thing is only going to get harder.

And, I'm open to advice...

That is so cute! Can Lillie come to our house sometime soon? We have some dishes to be done and some laundry that could be folded :)
