A spot of tea.
Life has gotten busy. I feel like this season of life is moving at a hundred miles an hour. I've been told it doesn't slow down until the kids are out of high school! I know many of us are singing the same sweet tune... too much we want to do, too many people to enjoy and not enough hours in a day. I know I'm not alone in this, Amen?
This weekend the stars aligned and a few high school friends stopped for a spot of tea, or coffee and breakfast in our case.
Almost 10 years ago my mom gave me this book, Love Pearls by Nancy Swan Drew. It is full of short reminders of the important things in life- said in a sassy southern way. Well, somehow this week the book found its way into my hands again.
And yes, I would like to say over the weekend I followed this pearl of advice.
Stop the clock long enough to take a spot of TEA... in excellent company or with your sweet self.
Take Respite!
We made time, got up early, packed the kiddos in and took a deep breath to ensure that we remembered those moments together later on in the day. Sweet friends, thanks for making the effort. I love you dearly and am so thankful for this season of our friendship.
Oh and two out of three husbands were there too- pretty awesome!
