Christmas Tree 2010

Brad finished up his exams and then finally on December 16th it became Christmas in our home!

This is the second year in a row we went to Lowes to "cut" down our Christmas tree.  Hilarious for now, but won't be funny if we are still going this route in about 5 years.  We were in search of a Fraser Fir for a deal- and we got one- $20!

 

Got it home and decorated with Christmas music in the background and a little elf for a helper!

And here is me putting the angel on the tree.  Brad loves this tradition and he said it just wouldn't do if I didn't climb up on his shoulders.  I think I'm getting too old for this!

This copper angel tree topper has a very special place in my heart.  This is the last gift my Dad ever gave me.  Brad and I went to see him in Chattanooga the December before he passed away.  During our visit we went a big outdoor craft sale downtown.   I loved this tree topper.  He bought it while I wasn't looking and gave it to me later in the day.  It is a sweet reminder of my Daddy.
