Turkey Bowl + Thanksgiving
We wrapped November up with a wonderful trip to Brad's beloved Baltimore. I don't think he could have been more thrilled about our Thanksgivings' plans.
We headed to Kelly and John's place, in Silver Spring, Tuesday night to basically drop off our small child. Thank you family! Then we left Wednesday afternoon to fight the traffic into Baltimore. First things first when we arrived in Baltimore, Brad wanted to see the Bay. Then spent the rest of the afternoon/evening with these fine Dons.
This series of photos is just hilarious to me. I really enjoy these guys.
Brad headed to a Loyola Bull Roast. Being an all boys school, it was for the men only. So, I spent some quality time with trashy TV and a sweet younger brother. After they returned home we headed out in Canton. My favorite stop in Canton was a Pretzel Dog stand. Don't pass this up if you ever have the chance.
We brought our air mattress to sleep on the floor of one of the guy's basements. But, he said it would probably be better if we stayed on the futon because of the rats that lived in the walls. So we heeded his advice. Got to love an old home.
The next morning we headed to the 91st Annual Turkey Bowl. In the Turkey Bowl Loyal (Brad's high school) takes on their rivals Calvert Hall in the Raven's stadium on Thanksgiving morning. As far as I can tell, this is an excellent excuse for the men of MD to get out of the house and let the women of MD cook. It is also important to note, that this is one of the oldest Catholic high school rivalries in the county. Fun atmosphere- especially because we were in the warmth of a sky box!
Loyola got slaughter. We headed to Timonium early and enjoyed a Greek Thanksgiving celebration at the Agathoklis'. Yummy!
Then we headed back to Silver Spring to spend some quality time with the family. I enjoyed my snuggles with little Harper- and seeing Laura, Sophie, Uncle Grant and Aunt Lynn. We really crammed it all in!
We have much to be thankful for this Thanksgiving!
