Can you believe it? Lillie is 9 months old, going on 16! I can't believe it. But, what a fun, fun, fun age. I love it.
Overall GREAT report at the docs.
Height 27 inches
Weight 18 pounds
Head 44.3 cm
All stats around the 50th percentile- which is HUGE for this terrible eater.
Lillie still struggles to eat her recommended 24 ounces of formula in a day- but her little body seems to be growing just fine! In fact, she actually has some sweet little baby rolls- finally! Lillie enjoys pureed baby food but still struggles with chewing.
Lillie is crawling quickly, standing frequently and falling constantly. She has learned to cruise along behind walking toys with grace. She is sleeping through the night like a champ (7p to 7a). Her napping is a completely different story and basically nonexistent- 30 to 45 minutes twice a day. Oh well.
Her personality is starting to shine and it is so strangely familiar to me.
I knew she was going to be stubborn from day one when she refused to eat. She still pushes the bottle out of her mouth regularly. She swats at it. Well, Mimi bought her a toy car that she can ride in. Lillie first experienced the sheer joy of this car at cousin Ann's house. Lillie was enjoying her inaugural ride with dad at the wheel.
This joy quickly turned when it was time for Lillie to get out of the car. I don't have any photos because I just couldn't believe what was happening. Lillie was acting out on purpose. She was screaming bloody murder because we took her out of the car.
As I recounted this story to my mom (Mimi) she let out a little chuckle. And told me a story about a little girl who laid in the road kicking and screaming because she couldn't ride her bike.
How the tides have turned.
