Spring Break 10

Brad and I have both enjoyed Spring Break 2010!  Spring break is a beautiful thing- I really recommend it at any age.  I have a sweet friend who elected to take a spring break from her full-time job and join Virginia and I on our junior year EURO excursion.  I'm pretty sure she loves spring break too.  Who doesn't LOVE spring break?

Unfortunately, Brad and my breaks only overlapped for two days.  Although we took no BIG trips to soak up the sun nor did we head to the ski slopes or enjoy Europe, this year was the most memorable spring break I can recall.

To spend a week with my wee one was a blessing in and of itself.  Much less, in this one week I watched her experience the joy of discovery in new and exciting ways.  I'm sure this is a normal occurrence in Lillie's life, but I rarely get to see her learn because I'm slaving away for "the man" (actually for MY man who is in school).

Regardless, as many college students will say, "this spring break was a week of firsts."

On Monday:  Lillie decided it was time to crawl.  The Bear is mobile.
And then she learned to crawl up the stairs.

On Wednesday:  Lillie learned to stand-up in her crib.

On Thursday:  Lillie LOVED her first outdoor swing experience.

It is a whole new world of mommyhood when you cannot set your baby down and come back to them in the same place.  I'm exhausted.

Seeing Lillie crawl makes me want to pick her up and hug her...she is sooo adorable and working so hard. It is fun to see her do this. mom
