Easter Traditions: watching the grass grow.

I love family traditions.

My favorite childhood tradition is backing sugar cookies at Christmas and decorating them.  I remember our kitchen, myself, my brother and his best friend (who happens to be Jewish, but LOVES to make Christmas cookies), my grandma, and my mom being COVERED in flour.  On a sweeter note, I remember scrapping vibrantly colored icing off our kitchen table to sneak into my mouth.  Ugh, and I remember the stomach ache that always followed!

Well, I've been on the hunt for a few ways to make Easter special around our home.  I desperately want to honor the Lord and incorporate pastels and eggs and bunnies into our traditions.  Is that possible?  Thanks to the internet planning and establishing traditions during a 30 minute lunch break is completely possible?
Here are some things we are trying out this year... and the progress I've made so far on the projects.

Easter Brunch Invitation
from Paperless Post

Have I mentioned how much I love Paperless Post?  It is the next big thing in the world of evites.  Beautiful invitations (designed by the sender)- with matching lined envelopes delivered right to the virtual door of your guests.  The southern in me LOVES the idea of beautiful invitations, the time crunched-computer-tied mommy in me LOVES the simplicity- it is a match made in heaven.

And my favorite after a Lenten fast... Easter themed sugar cookies

12 days and counting to get on these Easter projects.  Happy Easter planning!
