Surprise: your 3.0.
My big {and much older} brother turned 30 this weekend. Wow - that is old, and surprisingly it makes me feel old too. However, in lifestyle years I'm the much older sibling. B always says we act like were 35. Probably because in his ideal world he was going to get married at 30. And oh wait, he is 27 married with a sweet sweet babe. Planning is for the birds, I suppose.
Back to Kevin's birthday. Kelsey headed up the surprise party team- and boy did we surprise him. Kevin was busy signing away his life to the amazing house he and Kelsey just bought, while we were all busy planning an awesome party in that very house. I've never seen someone close on a house one morning and have a party in it that evening, but Kelsey managed to pull it off beautifully.
On a side note, Kelsey is not known for keeping secrets. However, her tract record has greatly improved over the past month. She did accidentally text Kevin a message that may have given away the surprise, then proceeded to break into a men's bathroom in a bank to steal Kevin's phone out of his pocket while he was relieving himself- only to realize Kevin had already read the message. Fortunately, Kevin's head was in the house cloud and he didn't even comprehend the meaning of the text. The things Kelsey said and did to keep this party secret are hilarious.
Here is K- surprised!
And here are a few photos of their new digs! I'm going to be living vicariously through their renovations over the next few years. I cannot wait to see this place rescued from the days of wood paneling and Woodstock- and green tile. I'm also planning on living vicariously through their amazing neighborhood. Yup, I'm super jealous of sidewalks. A few before photos...

Is it bad that I kind of love the green hex tile?
