hobbies..

Just a quick note from me, Lillie.

My parents have totally cleaned me out of all my toys... and every time I take something out I have to put it away after I'm done playing with it.  So, I've resorted to a few favorites these days.  Things I can take and do anywhere.

My hobbies at almost 21 months old include...

1.  Sorting RUBBERBANDS- or as I call them "bows"

I absolutely refuse to keep those things in my hair, but boy do I love the new 100 pack my mom just picked up at the store.  I transfer them from tea cup, to tea cup to plastic bag for at least 30 minutes a day.

I also like to carry them around in my tea cup- leaving them everywhere for mom to find later!

2.  Go Dog Go by PD Eastman

Have you read it?  It is really a page turner!!  I highly recommend it to anyone who hasn't picked it up lately.  In fact, I cannot put my copy down.  I even insist that I sleep with it every night just in case I forget what happens.

And I've started to memorize the pages...

"by bike, by boat, stop dogs stop, go dogs go."  My Mom and Dad seem to really like it when I tell them what is happening on the pages.   It is hilarious to see them clap- so I try to put on a pretty good show!

My mom just told me today that the non-board book version is a bit longer so I'm really looking forward to getting my paws on that someday soon!

3.  I also am getting a kick out of trying on new words.  Here are a few that people seem to have a hard time understanding.

My Word : Meaning
Nuk : Yogurt
Bia Bia : Diaper
Hoool : Hold or Hold on to the car
Indo : Window
BBs: Blue Berries 

Oh yes, and my great friend at school- Gabe- he taught me how to say water in Spanish.  His Dad is from Spain so he uses lots of cool words.  I'm learning a little here and there.  My parents seem to understand agua, so I use that all the time instead of saying water.  Cool, huh?

And a note on fashion.  My Mimi came over to play with me on Friday because I'm on spring break from School.  Isn't that awesome that I get spring break!  My parents keep talking about how great that is too!  Well, Mimi brought all her toys over on Friday which was super fun.  She also took me shopping and I got to buy something brand new!  New patent leather white shoes- and the nice lady at the store gave me a balloon.  What a day!  Well, the very next day I got a few things in the mail from my Aunt Carmen.  My favorite is a big floppy hat, just like mom likes to wear at the beach, and some awesome sunglasses.  I cannot wait for summer- I'm going to be so stylish!
