Uncle Chuck

Apparently Lillie's hearing is about 30 to 40 decibels below what it should be.  It might sound like we are all talking under water to her- which is kind of a funny thought.  I loved underwater tea parties at the pool!  Brad and I are grappling over tubes or no tubes, trying to decide what is best for our family and our daughter.

In the meantime, Lillie is enjoying taking what she hears and doing the best with it...

Last Sunday was my mom's birthday- she turned 29 again this year!  We had an amazing day full of sunshine, yummy food and family.

Sunday morning we packed up the family and headed to the hometown.  Here is Lillie trying desperately to put on her shoes.  Please notice her "Big Sis" shirt that I absolutely adore!  Thanks Graves family!  We love it!!

Once there, we sat on the deck at Uncle Chuck's house and talked for hours, food highlights included surf & turf and cake and we all enjoyed watching Lille explore every detail of the deck.

Lillie gave Mimi all of her gifts!

Kelsey couldn't even look at the lobster.

And I think mom enjoyed the quality time with family!

What a perfect day!  Thanks for being born mommy.  I couldn't be more thankful for you and your encouragement and presence in my life today.  You are the best.

Well, who is Uncle Chuck?  He is photographed above.

That is right, Lillie is calling Kevin- Uncle Chuck.  At first I tried hard to believe that Ben had called Lillie and told her to call him Kevin Chavez- Uncle Chavez has a nice ring to it.  But by the end of the day it was clear that Lillie calls Uncle Kevin- Chuck.  Hilarious!!  I guess a 30 decibel hearing loss turns Kevin into Chuck.
