vacation
Lillie learned about crabs all week in school. She can do the crab walk, she can tell you what they look like, where they live and even how to measure them. Fitting that after talking about crabs all week at school, our family headed down to the ocean for a quick breathe of fresh air with some of our dearest friends.
Of course we didn't get on the road until about 8pm Friday night - with the rain and a stop or two we were lucky to get their by 11:30 and have the girls in bed by midnight.
But Saturday was worth it. Worth it.
I long boat road ride with big waves, a little freedom and good friends was good for these men.
Mary Hardin was obsessed with the ocean and eating the sand.
Running. Lots of running from this crowd.
We had to leave early on Sunday - always do. Seems to always be a grocery list to make, a toilet to clean, a few sheets to change and clothes to wash when we get home. But there is something about just getting away. All those things just have to wait, they cannot be done. I love that about vacation. I need that about vacation.
