big THREE

Lillie turned three - woohooo and is she every bit of three!

You could have overheard this in our house this week.
Me: Three years ago you were born - you came out of Mommy's tummy.
Lillie:  Yup.
Me:  And one year ago Mary Hardin came out of Mommy's tummy.
Lillie:  Yup - I went back in there to get her out.  We had a party in Mommy's tummy and then I pulled her out and she was born.

Lillie's imagination is deep and thoughtful.

Lillie at three years old...

Height:  36 1/4 inches (27th percentile)
Weight:  27 lbs and 5 ounces ( 20th percentile)

She loves to run, jump, skip, and PLOP!  She is very active and loves being outside.
Lillie is eating well - sleeping well - and generally using the potty well.
Lillie has lots of questions, I hear "why" about a million times a day.
She is good at riding her tricycle (we need to get a bike), LOVES a slide but will undoubtedly spend all her time at a playground on the swings saying higher, higher.
Lillie has been enjoying the pool this summer and she has made big progress with jumping off the side by herself and putting her head under the water!
She calls me mom, Mary Hardin is decidedly Hardin in her mind - unless someone asks her name and Brad goes back and forth between being Dad, Daddy and Daddy-O. 

She is still my sweet, sensitive little one.  She loves to be held, and give hugs and kisses.  She won't walk into a room full of her friends with out some gentle nudges.  She is reserved - enjoys watching the dynamics before jumping in.

Lillie loves her sister and her mimi like something fierce but is still a Daddy's girl!

Below note her "sassy" face - she is basically saying - "Ya right mom, in your dreams!"  This face is very similar to a face I have seen on her second cousin Elizabeth.  I'm pretty sure it comes from my side of the family.  Ha.
