Kitchen/family room update

In an older house - with a limited budget - it is always a work in progress.  Right?

We bought this ROUGH gem in March 2012.  The kitchen/family room looked like this the day we moved-in.

Now it is July of 2012 and we are here...

And the family room went from this...

 To this...

How the view has changed!  We had the wall taken down and patched the hardwood floors.  Switched out the light fixture (thanks John!) with a chandelier that originally came from Brad's childhood home.  And painted, painted and painted!
