First solid foods
Mary Hardin has a milk allergy/intolerance thing going on. Hopefully we are growing out of it as we speak!
At the tail end of November, I got up the nerve to start on some solid foods with Mary Hardin. We made our visit to our pediatric GI specialist over at Duke, made a plan and got started. The short version of the plan goes like this..
1. Orange veggies (squash, sweet potatoes, carrots, etc.)
2. Green veggies
3. Rice cereal
4. Fruits
No processed mixed meal baby foods (gag-me), no mac & cheese baby food (duh), and obviously no yogurt. Take things slow, try one food at a time for at least 4 to 5 days before adding any additional food.
We go back at 8 months to check-in on the progress.
So, the documenting begins... November 29, 2011 - squash. Below Mary Hardin is "gettin ready" to eat - saying, no mommy, don't do it... don't make me eat that!!
Unfortunately, I have to report a rash on our very first baby food. Sad face from mommy. But since then, we have moved on to sweet potatoes which she seems to really enjoy.
