Lillie - 2 1/2 years old

Lillie is growing up - fast. She is two and a half years old. For the most part she has turned the sassy into sweet.

Lillie at the Chapel Hill Christmas parade with Dad!
Lillie loves to imitate. She will sit with her legs crossed to copy an adult, you can frequently find her "making cookies" in her kitchen just like mommy and she will say anything that comes out of your mouth.
This may or may not be what we look like when feeding Mary Hardin.
One of my favorite examples is when Mary Hardin is crying, you can catch her saying "I know, I know" just like I do. Baby Day, Go Dog Go and bunny are still her main stays, but recently they have been joined by "Froggie" a pillow pet from her Elizabeth. She has also taking a liking to Mimi's baby doll (who was actually my childhood baby doll but lives at Mimi's house) - Baby Leslie.

Lillie is most happy outside - and her favorite activity is the slide! I also have to mention that she loves the iPad. I'm not really proud of that, but we have found some great educational games/puzzles and even books that she enjoys. We don't watch too much TV, so I'm thankful to have something that will help her sit still.

Her stats:
Weight: 26 pounds 8 ounces - 25 percentile
Height: 34.75 inches - 25 percentile
Head: 49 centimeters - 75 percentile

Lillie seems little to me. She is almost the smallest little one in her class. She has one friend named Noah who is about her size. Lillie eats healthy but small amounts. She still takes an afternoon nap and sleeps from 8pm to 6:30am. Lillie loves ice cream - as she says, "it makes my mouth cooooold." I guess she comes by that honestly. She is doing a great job pee peeing in the potty and we are working on pooping in the potty currently! We have had some great success since we have been home for the holidays!

Lillie's "art" from school - i.e. Christmas present for us!
Lillie seems to really enjoy school and her friends at school, however she is extremely shy in unfamiliar settings. It takes a little while for her to get comfortable. Change is not Lillie's friend. Brad said it best when he described her as "one of those people who is quiet until you get to know her." At home and in school Lillie is social, talkative and creative. She clearly has a sweet and gentle spirit. She is very nurturing to her Mary Hardin and Baby Day.

Lillie, I enjoy you - I enjoy watching you grow. I love to sit and talk with you about the world. I love your delight and concern. I'm thankful for your natural kindness. I see so much of myself in you. I love you - and you will always be my baby girl.
