Oh Christmas tree...

oh Christmas tree, why don't we have thee.

True story, this will go down as the year we didn't get a Christmas tree.  It doesn't really feel like Christmas.  And we have a two year old who asks to go visit the Christmas tree in our apartment complex lobby

Mimi to the rescue.  Per usual.  We have a "special" calendar Christmas tree this year, as Lillie calls it.  A main stay from my childhood, I've enjoyed bringing the tradition back to life with Lillie this year.  Thanks for letting us borrow our "special Christmas tree" for 2011!

In other tree news, I asked Lillie tonight what she wanted for Christmas.   Her list.  Honest to goodness, I wrote it down in the car.

Me:  Lillie, what would you like for Christmas this year?

Lillie:  Um...

A Snowman
Penguin
A Ducky!
Cheese
Pizza
Lights (as in Christmas Lights)
A house

Lillie went on to say this, with no prompting, next..   "Mommy, I make you a Christmas tree."

Although I'm bummed, I know there are more important things in life than Christmas decorations.
